Kirloskar Electric Company Limited has delivered and successfully commissioned a large MG set and controls for a transformer manufacturing unit in Maharashtra, India. The system is suitable for testing Power Transformers up to 315 MVA, 400 kV. Using this system, following tests can be performed:

• No-load  loss measurement
• Load-loss measurement
• Temperature rise test

The system can also be used for testing single phase transformers up to 180 MVA.

The control system comprises of state-of-the-art VFD, PLC and SCADA system including all the necessary transformers, switchgear etc. and has met complete technical requirements of the customer.
