| Principal Accountabality |
Prepare and check Electrical/Mechanical design of product and ensure its conformity with specifications and standards
Design & Development of new products
Prepare and obtain required approvals for engineering information prior to release for manufacturing
Reduce design errors through corrective actions
Prepare, update and support the project execution engineering activities in the schedule with emphasis on; On-time delivery, Quality of deliverables and cost
Conduct design review, verification and validation
Standardize and computerize design process to reduce throughput time for generating documents for manufacturing
Perform technical, cost savings, and constructability reviews of design packages from internal engineering, outsourced sub-contractor engineering and equipment factories
Be abreast with latest technological developments in the industry

| Managerial/Technical Qualities |
The incumbent should have graduation in Electrical/Mechanical with 2+ years of experience in Gas Insulated Switchgear Design.
Responsible for the coordination and execution of all engineering disciplines for medium-voltage and high-voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
To co-ordinate with the Marketing & Production teams in meeting the projected business plans
Must be familiar with the nuances associated with designing Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS)
Should possess strong leadership qualities.
