| Principal Accountabality |
Responsible for complete mechanical engineering function of the products
Work in close coordination with functional heads for achieving team targets
Ensure accurate and timely release of engineering information for manufacturing
Ensure continual improvement by use of standardization, value engineering and variety reduction
Ensure the material content is optimal for product manufacturing to maximize the profits
Plan & implement latest technological improvements
Standardize and computerize design process to reduce throughput time for generating documents for manufacturing

| Managerial/Technical Qualities |
The incumbent should have graduation in Mechanical Engg, with 5+ years of experience in Design from Transformer industries.
To co-ordinate with the Marketing & Production teams in meeting the projected business plans
Should possess strong leadership qualities.
